A small bedroom tailored to a young creative — where every piece answers to a function and to a personality.

The project was for a 19-year-old graphic design student. Viktoria is creative, energetic, and positive. For her, the bedroom needed to serve several functions at once: sleeping and relaxing, studying, and storing all her clothes and cosmetics. She loves objects that inspire her and give her energy. It was from these needs that the project began.

In a small bedroom, every centimetre counts. The organisation of the space came from responding to these three functions. The wardrobe was designed in an L-shape, making use of two walls at once to accommodate all her clothes. The vanity table is integrated into the wardrobe, helping with the flow of the space and also serving as a bedside table for the bed, avoiding loose pieces that would fragment the environment and extending visual continuity. The bed is placed closer to one wall, freeing up as much floor space as possible and giving more fluidity to the room. The desk is positioned by the window, ensuring natural light in the work area, which helps reduce eye strain and stimulates creativity.

The colours were chosen to reflect Viktoria's energy without ever becoming tiring. Forest green gives presence to the bed frame and the vanity chair, adding a touch of colour without overwhelming the space. Terracotta on the wardrobe brings warmth to the room and transforms a large piece without making it feel heavy. Yellow appears as an accent on the bed textile — the colour she asked for to give her energy. Blue on the desk, besides promoting serenity, has a sculptural form that turns it into a decorative object, much like the ceiling lamp, creating a set of unique pieces that will inspire Viktoria. A soft pink on the desk chair completes the ensemble. No single colour dominates; they all interconnect, creating an environment that stimulates without overwhelming.

The result is a small bedroom that feels larger than it is. Not through visual tricks, but because every piece was chosen and positioned to respond to a specific person — with a name, an age, and a very personal way of inhabiting their space.
